Resumo
This work aims to develop the concept of empathy from a Reichian perspective, restoring the place of the human being within a biological destiny shared by the species that constitute society, while questioning what hinders the unfolding of empathy in our relationships. In doing so, it seeks to understand the role of empathy in the psychotherapeutic process and the place of this process within the broader context of a society that increasingly calls for empathy.

Abstract
