Resumo

This article emerged from the workshop "Understanding Character to Recover Organ Sensation," presented at the 28th Brazilian Congress of Body Psychotherapies, promoted by Centro Reichiano and Volpi. The workshop aimed to deepen the perception of oneself, others, and the therapeutic relationship within Reichian and Bioenergetic psychotherapy, seeking to refine organ sensation and establish a radiant bridge with clients and patients. Based on the Reichian concepts of armor, character, and organ sensation, it provided a process of self-perception and integration of body, mind, and emotion. The article offers a critical reflection on the training of Reichian and Bioenergetic psychotherapists, emphasizing the importance of working through their own resistances and character armor. It concludes by addressing the relevance of contemporary clinical management in the field of body psychotherapy.
