Resumo

Este artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre o processo histórico da repressão sexual e seus impactos sobre a estrutura biopsicossocial do ser humano. São discutidos aspectos políticos, científicos, religiosos e culturais que contribuíram para a construção de padrões morais responsáveis por restringir a expressão natural da sexualidade. A partir de uma perspectiva histórica, o trabalho analisa como a naturalidade biológica do ser humano passou a ser associada à culpa e ao pecado, influenciando profundamente a vida afetiva, social e emocional. Sob a ótica da Psicologia Corporal, argumenta-se que a oposição entre libido e repressão favoreceu a formação de couraças, bloqueios emocionais e distorções no desenvolvimento humano, comprometendo o livre fluxo da vida e da energia.

Abstract

This article reflects on the historical process of sexual repression and its impact on the biopsychosocial structure of human beings. Political, scientific, religious, and cultural factors are examined in order to contextualize the influence of moral repression on both individual and social behavior. From a historical perspective, the study analyzes how the biological naturalness of human sexuality came to be associated with guilt and sin, profoundly influencing emotional, social, and affective life. From the viewpoint of Body Psychology, the article argues that the opposition between libido and repression contributed to the formation of character armor, emotional blockages, and distortions in human development, compromising the free flow of life and energy.
